Here’s what I use often use to clean my guitars. For the strings, I use fast fret from GHS. This actually prolongs the time your strings will rust.

And for the rest of the guitar, I use (3M brand) microfiber cloth. This easily absorbs moisture and does not scratch the guitar’s surface.

A lungful of air can also do the cleaning job easily, hassle-free and fast.
