Got this tuner via trade last weekend to my Boss TU-2. Here are the pros of the PB over ze TU-2:
This marked the end of all the crouching tiger hidden dragon to push whatever buttons are on the Jamman Solo.
(On the Solo) 2 buttons toggle the up and down selections for the patch banks. A “mode” button stops the playback of a loop (if bank is empty, this serves as tap tempo switch). Awesome
I recently joined a 3 piece electro, post-rock outfit so I had a perfect excuse reason to add a looper into my rig. Got a Jamman Solo and after 2 jams, I think it may be just the pedal I need. I already asked a local builder here to make me a FS3X footswitch clone.
I’m still waiting for an additional set of patch cables with pancake plugs. I’m hoping I could find a way to cram all these into my board.

Spoke too soon regarding the “usability” of the Shimverb, replaced the small thing with a Verbzilla. The shimmer effect used 5ths so there are instances where using it is a pain in the arse. And I needed a more organic sounding reverb. Plus the Octo setting on the ‘zilla is just damn awesome (And because I can’t afford a Strymon blueSky Reverberator).
I think I need a smaller tuner. And a looper. And a tremolo. And another delay. And a bigger board. tsk

Got her back last Saturday from the shop. For an MIJ guitar, it was weird that the bridge was too high so the luthier had to shave a portion (almost a third of the top!) of it. Fretboard was also shaved to straighten it out (and clean it) and new medium frets were installed.

A new project guitar! Got this one from a shop that sells used japanese stuff. I believe this one was produced around 1975-1978 (so this thing is older than me!). I may need to replace/fix/clean the following for it to be perfect: Saddle, Bridge pins, Frets, Fretboard, Nut, Machineheads and Truss rod.

Scrap the Supernatural GAS. I purchased a Mooer Shimverb right after I tried it yesterday. Both the room and shimmer are actually very usable. The small (reeeeallllly small) footprint and price tag is a big factor as well.

Ok. The Dynacomp as a booster isn’t working so well. Can’t tolerate the noise when output is cranked. Had to replace it with an MXR Micro Amp.

If you’re wondering what practice amp I am currently using, it’s a humble Vox Pathfinder 15r solid-state amplifier. For the price (I got it for only around $120), the Pathfinder is well worth it. The clean tone is very good, drive is ok but I suggest you get a good dirt pedal to better appreciate it. This amp takes pedals really well. It also features a usable tremolo and spring reverb built into it. And it looks darn cool. \m/
UPDATE (July 15):
Uh huh.. I tried replacing the CTO-1 with the Dynacomp. Now I’m using it as a booster. Still need to work (and test) this one as the pedal is quite noisy when output is cranked.
